Yoga

Yoga has been an integral part of my healing journey and is an amazing tool that can be used to regulate the nervous system. If yoga is something that resonates with you, I invite you to try integrating yoga practices into your daily routine as a way to let your brain know that it is safe. I believe that yoga is for everyone and many of the yoga practices on this page are beginner friendly.

If you are looking for a place to start, this video is it. This flow is focused on reestablishing a mind-body connection. Connecting the mind with the body is an important part of healing neuroplastic pain.
Join me for a 25 minute feel-good flow focused on cultivating self-compassion. We will begin with a gentle flow followed by balancing poses to practice showing yourself self-compassion in some more difficult poses. Then ending with some deeper releasing poses to leave you feeling relaxed and ready for the rest of the day. You may want yoga blocks or a book for more support.
This is a short but effective yoga practice to center your mind while stretching and strengthening the entire body. All you will need is your yoga mat and water. Perfect for when you first get out of bed to start your day off right.
If you have had a long day and are feeling stressed or anxious, this practice is for you. We will begin with a mini meditation, bringing the mind to the present moment, and then move through a series of postures aimed at releasing tension and stress. For this practice you will need a yoga strap and yoga block or a belt and a thick book will work as well.
